About Rebel Apothecary
Rebel Apothecary grew out of my massage practice. I didn't set out to start a skincare company - I just wanted better products to use with my clients.
I've been a licensed massage therapist since 2003, have studied aromatherapy for more than 30 years, and spent 14 years as a cosmetologist. Over the years, I've used a lot of massage creams, oils, lotions, and body products. Some worked well. Some smelled great. But I wanted products that could do both.
That became the philosophy behind Rebel Apothecary: every ingredient should have a purpose.
Oils, butters, botanical extracts, essential oils, and other ingredients are chosen for what they contribute to the formula and to the experience - not just because they look good on a label.
I use the same philosophy in Rebel Apothecary's fragrances. Instead of starting with “What should this smell like?” I often start with “How should this feel?” Relaxing. Grounding. Fresh. Warm. Energizing. Comforting. The fragrance is built from there.
I call that Functional Fragrance. The scent designed to be part of the experience, not just added on top of it.
Every Rebel Apothecary product is developed in small batches, refined through real-world use, and held to one simple standard:

Luxury Bar Soap
I make soap for people who want an ordinary shower to feel just a little more extraordinary.
Each bar is handcrafted in small batches and superfatted at 5%, leaving a portion of the nourishing oils unsaponified for extra conditioning. The result is a rich, creamy lather that leaves skin feeling soft and comfortable - not dry or tight.
Meadowfoam seed oil and jojoba oil add extra conditioning, while Rebel Apothecary’s botanical fragrance blends give each bar a clean, distinctive scent.
